How To Delete Your Account In The App
Open SPOTZ and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Profile, tap the settings button, open Legal, then choose Delete Account.
Read the warning, type DELETE, and confirm. For security, Firebase may require that you recently logged in. If prompted, log out, log back in, and return to Delete Account.
Deletion Timeline
The in-app deletion process is designed to begin immediately after you confirm deletion and pass Firebase recent-login security checks.
Most active account records are deleted or removed from public visibility during that process. Some backups, logs, reports, moderation records, legal records, or provider records may remain for a longer period when needed for safety, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.
What SPOTZ Deletes
SPOTZ deletes your Firebase Authentication account, your private user document, your public profile document, your username reservation, your saved favorites, blocked-user records, push tokens, received notifications, and local account/session data stored on the device.
SPOTZ also removes spots you created from public visibility, removes your account from favorite/like counters where applicable, and deletes profile references that are tied directly to your user record.
What Is Removed From Public View
When you delete your account, spots you created are removed from public visibility and should no longer appear on Map, Discover, public profiles, spot detail pages, or saved spot lists.
Comments and replies on spots removed because of account deletion are no longer publicly visible because the spot itself is unavailable.
What May Remain
Reports, moderation records, safety review notes, abuse-prevention records, legal records, system logs, backups, and content needed to protect other users or comply with law may remain after account deletion.
Copies of content already viewed, saved, cached, exported, screenshotted, or shared by other users may not be recoverable or removable by SPOTZ.
Uploaded Photos
Profile image references connected to your profile are removed with account deletion. Photos attached to removed spots may remain with provider, backup, moderation, safety, legal, or service-integrity records unless and until SPOTZ can securely delete the underlying provider asset.
